In 2001 he left Västerås for the swedish west coast and Göteborg to workwith GVA-C as electrical and instrument discipline lead for the conceptual studie of the worlds biggest semi submersible production and drilling platform (Crazy Horse later on Thunder Horse).

a-kvadrat konsult AB was founded as a one man consultant company in the field of electrical engineering but has since 2016 changed its profile also to employe senior proffessionals on a project basis. It was founded by Anders Åsberg in october 2002 as a-kvadrat konsult a private company. Anders Åsberg who is a former employe of ASEA, Dresser Rand, ABB, GVA-C and Sweco Energuide got the idea during one mission in Bagdad in august 2002 and a couple of months later he resigned his employment at Sweco Energuide and a-kvadrat konsult was founded. One year later In october 2003 the private company was turned into a-kvadrat konsult AB.

After completing school and military services Anders Åsberg began his profesional career with ASEA in 1983 in the substation and distribution engineering department but after some time he went into commissioning. After three years with ASEA it was time to do something else, he worked as electrican onboard cargo ships, as a civil worker in a steel building company and as a linesman in the local utility company in his home region on the swedish west coast until he decided to continue his studies again in 1988. He studied electrical power engineering at the technical university in Ludvika (Sweden) for two and a half year unitil he graduated in 1990. From 1991 until 1997 he was employed by Dresser-Rand in Norway were he worked as service engineer for gas-turbines (KG2, LM2500), during his employment at Dresser -Rand he also studied at electrical power engineering at Chalmers university of technology in Göteborg (Sweden) from where he graduated with a master degree in 1996.

 

In 1997 he joined ABB Network partner and started with commissioning of relay protections for substation and power plant applications. After some years he turned over to the relay protection application specialist department and after this to the support department. He developed and performed training courses in house and by clients, continued with commissioning and troubleshooting as well all kind of support sctivities.

The project ended in 2002 and he moved on to Sweco Energuide working as an electrical consultant for a short time until he founded a-kvadrat konsult in october 2002
